Page Police Pursue Suspected DUI Driver

Page, AZ (August 26, 2015):On August 23, 2015 at about 5:35 p.m., Page Police Department officers investigated a possible DUI that occurred in Page, AZ.

Officers were notified about a possible DUI vehicle in the area of Wal-Mart. An officer made a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle in the Stix parking lot. During the stop the suspect backed his vehicle up, striking the patrol car and the fled the area. There were no injuries involved with the collision, which was investigated by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Officers initiated a vehicle pursuit, which was later terminated due to the reckless driving of the suspect. The vehicle was later located by the Navajo Police Department at a residence 14 miles south of Page. Navajo Police Department arrested the suspect for violations that occurred in their jurisdiction. Charges for the incidents that occurred in Page, including endangerment, reckless driving, unlawful flight from law enforcement, and criminal damage, are being forwarded to the Coconino County Attorney’s Office.
