Stabbing at 15 Cascade

On June 20, 2014, at approximately 8:47 hours, the Page Police and Page Fire emergency units were dispatched to #15 Cascade for a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, the units located a 33 year old man identified as, Earl Boone of Page. Mr. Boone was located on Cascade just outside of #10 Cascade. Mr. Boone had multiple stab wounds on his head, back and chest. Mr. Boone was transported to the Page Hospital emergency room where he was treated and admitted into the hospital in good condition. The Page Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene and conducted an investigation of the incident.

The investigation revealed that Mr. Boone had been out jogging and returned to his residence at #15 Cascade. As Mr. Boone entered his residence, he was reportedly attacked by his roommate, 36 year old John Myers. Mr. Boone sustained 6 stab wounds before he was able to flee the residence. Mr. Boone ran to a neighbor's residence to report the assault, the neighbor's then called the police.

Mr. Myers fled the area in a 1988 maroon and black Suzuki Samurai. An all points bulletin was put out on Myers and the vehicle but to date neither has been located.

The case will be forwarded to the Coconino County attorney's office requesting that 2nd Degree Attempted Murder charges are placed on Myers.
