Complaint Leads to Arrest of Two Georgia Men for Multiple Drug Related Offenses

PAGE, AZ (March 30, 2015): On March 26, 2015 at approximately 07:22 am, a Page Police Officer initiated a stop on a vehicle occupied by two men from Brooklet, Georgia, 40 year old Manuel Jacob Alojado and 41 year old Shawn Eugene Bowen. The Page Police Department had received a complaint through the Arizona Department of Public Safety that Bowen may be involved with buying and or selling methamphetamine. During a subsequent investigation, it was found that both Mr. Bowen and Mr. Alojado had extensive criminal histories including violence. It was further determined that both men were staying at the Comfort Inn in Page. The use of a police K-9 aided the investigation and a search warrant was obtained for the room of Mr. Bowen and the truck both men were in which is registered to Mr. Alojado. The subsequent search resulted in the seizure of approximately 23.2 grams of methamphetamine valued at over $14,000.00.

Mr. Bowmen and Mr. Alojado were arrested and booked into the Coconino County Jail in Page for Multiple drug related charges including Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of a Dangerous Drug for Sale and Possession of Paraphernalia.

The Page Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Coconino County Sheriff's Office
